چکیده

Fused silica is widely used as a material for optical lenses owing to its excellent properties and low thermal expansion coefficient. However, hard brittle material, there very limited option of processing technologies machining fused with surface structures. In this paper, picosecond laser based single crystal diamond tool fabrication technology proposed generate micro milling tools different geometrical designs, the cutting performance experimentally tested through micro-milling under conditions. An optimal path inhibit graphitization improve concentricity blades, multi-edge minimum rotary diameter 0.4 mm can be obtained. The effects rake angle on force degree damage subsurface are studied by tests using laser-shaped tools. results show that machined −30° has best finish (Ra = 41.2 nm). Using laser-machined tool, plurality Fresnel aperture 1.6 were successfully sheet.

Silica based polishing of {100} and {111} single crystal diamond

Diamond is one of the hardest and most difficult to polish materials. In this paper, the polishing of {111} and {100} single crystal diamond surfaces by standard chemical mechanical polishing, as used in the silicon industry, is demonstrated. A Logitech Tribo Chemical Mechanical Polishing system with Logitech SF1 Syton and a polyurethane/polyester polishing pad was used. A reduction in roughnes...

Laser Micro-Raman Spectroscopy of CVD Nanocrystalline Diamond Thin Film

Laser micro-Raman spectroscopy is an ideal tool for assessment and characterization of various types of carbon-based materials. Due to its special optical properties (CrN) coated stainless steel substrates. NCD films have been investigated by laser micro-Raman spectroscopy. The fingerprint of diamond based materials is in the spectral region of 1000-1600 cm-1 in the first order of Raman scatter...

Mode-locked picosecond diamond Raman laser.

We present a mode-locked diamond Raman laser synchronously pumped by a mode-locked laser running at 532 nm and pulse duration 26 ps. The diamond laser generated up to 2.2 W of average power with output pulses of duration 21 ps at a yellow wavelength of 573 nm. The output pulse duration varied notably with small changes in cavity length and decreased to a minimum of 9 ps. The power and pulse dur...

Enhanced characteristics of fused silica fibers using laser polishing

The search for gravitational wave signals from astrophysical sources has led to the current work to upgrade the two largest of the long-baseline laser interferometers, the LIGO detectors. The first fused silica mirror suspensions for the Advanced LIGO gravitational wave detectors have been installed at the LIGO Hanford and Livingston sites. These quadruple pendulums use synthetic fused silica f...
